Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

In short: LeaseMate collects only what it needs to audit your lease and reach you about it — your name, email, and the quotes you choose to share. We never sell your data, never take money from dealers or lenders, and we ask you not to send sensitive identifiers like Social Security or full account numbers (LeaseMate declines them).

Who we are

LeaseMate is a buyer-side tool that helps you understand and negotiate car lease quotes. You always conduct and sign your own deal — LeaseMate never contacts dealers, never handles your deal money, and never sends anything on your behalf. This policy explains what personal information we process and why.

Information we collect

  • Account details you provide at sign-up: your name, email address, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash — we never see or store the password itself). If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile and email from Google instead of a password.
  • Your case content: the lease quotes, worksheets, and documents you paste or upload, and your conversation with LeaseMate. We ask you not to share Social Security numbers or full financial-account numbers; LeaseMate is built to decline and redact them.
  • Billing information: when you buy a pass, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and a payment reference from Stripe — we never receive or store your full card number.
  • Usage and technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the service, such as request timing and error diagnostics.

How we use your information

  • To interview you, audit your quotes, and prepare the messages you send to dealers.
  • To contact you about your lease and account by email.
  • To process your one-time pass purchase and provide support.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal information and we share it only with the providers that make the service work, each acting on our instructions:

  • Anthropic — processes the text of your conversation and quotes to power the AI. LeaseMate sends Anthropic the case context needed for a reply, not raw identifiers it has declined.
  • Stripe — processes your pass payment.
  • Resend — delivers transactional email such as password resets.
  • Vercel and Neon — host the application and the database.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Data retention

We keep your account and case data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Your choices). We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes, and LeaseMate is built to decline and redact sensitive identifiers like Social Security and full account numbers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit what we collect in the first place.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request — including deleting your account and its data — email us at privacy@lease-mate.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information.

Children

LeaseMate is intended for adults entering car-lease agreements and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
